IKEA, the Life Improvement Store, is launching its 7th IKEA PS collection, which puts a focus on cutting-edge Scandinavian furniture design while maintaining core IKEA values quality design at an affordable price. IKEA PS collections are launched every three years, and this year, IKEA designers drew inspiration from 60 years of IKEA design history looking through IKEA catalogues and archives to reinvent products of the past and translate them into the future by updating form, function, and materials to make them more relevant and sustainable for todays needs. The IKEA PS 2012 collection will be previewed starting today at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (Milan Furniture Fair) and available to the public at IKEA stores in the U.S. starting August 2012.

At IKEA, we never stop looking for better ways to do things. For the IKEA PS 2012 collection, we looked at our history for inspiration, and challenged our designers to bring their designs forward with innovative products that belong in the future, said Janice Simonsen, IKEA U.S. Design Spokesperson and lead blogger for the Design by IKEA blog (http://www.theshare-space.com/Blog). And of course, we asked them to do it all with affordability, as we believe good design belongs in real homes everybodys homes.

Bright, colorful and made from a variety of materials, the IKEA PS 2012 collection, which includes items such as tables, lamps, bowls and textiles, is meant to be useful, relevant, fun and surprising. From shoe storage that doubles as seating to an insect-inspired indoor/outdoor steel easy chair to a childrens shelf that mimics a dollhouse, this collection has a bit of everything and embodies everything IKEA.

"Families with kids, people who live in small spaces, people with limited budgets there's something for everyone with this collection," says Mats Nilsson, range strategist with IKEA of Sweden. "Whether it's one piece or many, these IKEA PS products are meant to inspire people and meet their needs and desires at home."

Born Monica Floyd in Baltimore, MD, Doll Phace is founder and CEO of True Vision Media Group, and is a talented producer, director, writer and entertainer. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, she earned a BA in Electronic Media Management, and has secured performance deals for other artists and comedians, and has produced and directed music videos and films.

The multi-talent's most recent film production project is the film Mama I Want to Sing, which was adapted from the popular stage play. The movie, released in February to DVD, boasts an all-star cast including Lynn Whitfield, Ciara, Hill Harper and Patti LaBelle.

Setting her personal relationships and experiences to music, Doll Phace enjoys connecting with her fans through relatable stories. On the new EP, the title track "Get Use To This featuring Baby Bash speaks on emoting confidence both inside and out. The contagious party track Lets Go To Vegas featuring Snoop Dogg is all about the high stakes of love, and how gambling with a woman's heart is not an option on the table. The E-40 assisted Damn Right brings out Doll Phace's signature positive, bold attitude about pride, personal achievement and self-confidence.

The toys we know today to be dolls house miniatures originated in Ancient Egypt and were used to embellish Egyptian tombs. These miniatures made of wood illustrated people, animals and household items as they were 5000 years ago. Taking into consideration that gathering is a natural human trait, it shouldn't surprise us that throughout time different cultures have collected various representative and significant objects of their civilization. It may come as a surprise, but miniature collecting was not reduced only to women in the XVIth and XVIIth centuries. Important people such as scholars, rich merchants and monarchs held cabinets in which they displayed various collections from rare coins or precious stones to fossils.

During the XVIth century wealthy families in England, Netherlands and Germany were known to collect cabinet displays named Baby Houses.

In the XVIIth century extravagant sums of money were spent by the wives of rich Dutch merchants on collectible dollhouse midgets. Petronella Oortman whose husband was a Dutch silk trader ordered a Baby House that was built between 1686 and 1705.

Another famous dollhouse is the Killer Cabinet House known by this name because it was ordered by Doctor John Egerton Killer (a Manchester doctor) in 1835. The doctor ordered a copy of his favorite cabinet in which the ladies in his house could put their handmade miniatures. Apart from the miniatures crafted by his family such as a chair made of pheasant feathers, the doctor ordered additional objects from London.

One of the most impressive dollhouses of our times is The Fairy Castle exhibited at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. It belonged to the silent film celebrity Colleen Moore who contributed to its embellishment even after donating it. It is said that 700 professionals contributed to the Fairy Castle's making, amongst them Chinese craftsmen and jewelers from Beverly Hills. Even Walt Disney took part in this project, painting some of the dollhouse's paintings and murals. Emeralds, diamonds, pearls, ancient statues and the smallest bible ever made are displayed in The Fairy Castle. The entire dollhouse costs about $ 500,000 and hosts more than 2000 miniature objects. Taking into account all of the above, we can safely assume that collecting dolls house miniatures and dolls houses has been and will forever be a natural calling of mankind

In preparation for the EP release, Doll Phace has just relaunched her website DollPhaceMusic.com, complete with a special contest in conjunction with her Twitter page @DollPhaceMusic with the hashtag #DollPhaceEP. Participating fans will have the chance to win several cash prizes up to $ 1,000, an iPad 3, Beats by Dre headphones and an all-expense paid trip for two to Las Vegas. Born Monica Floyd in Baltimore, MD, Doll Phace is founder and CEO of True Vision Media Group, and is a talented producer, director, writer and entertainer. Upon relocating to Los Angeles, she earned a BA in Electronic Media Management, and has secured performance deals for other artists and comedians, and has produced and directed music videos and films.

The multi-talent's most recent film production project is the film Mama I Want to Sing, which was adapted from the popular stage play. The movie, released in February to DVD, boasts an all-star cast including Lynn Whitfield, Ciara, Hill Harper and Patti LaBelle.

Setting her personal relationships and experiences to music, Doll Phace enjoys connecting with her fans through relatable stories. On the new EP, the title track "Get Use To This featuring Baby Bash speaks on emoting confidence both inside and out. The contagious party track Lets Go To Vegas featuring Snoop Dogg is all about the high stakes of love, and how gambling with a woman's heart is not an option on the table. The E-40 assisted Damn Right brings out Doll Phace's signature positive, bold attitude about pride, personal achievement and self-confidence.

The ability to share passion in both business and music has consistently put Doll Phace in the midst of amazing life situations. As she prepares for the release of the Get Used to This EP, Doll Phace is confident that her outlook will expand horizons even more in 2012.

Having a positive attitude is what I strive for, and I like being in that place, Doll Phace asserts. My central focus is on happiness, maintaining relationships, and having a good spirit, within a good place. Just like the song says, get used to this! I look forward to sharing my music, ideas and inspiration with as many people as possible.
